Japan Small Group Tours are not large volume based group tours. We package our tours in a way that allow all ages experience unique authentic Japan. If you are not fond of traveling with a group, then think again. Led by friendly, patient and knowledgeable tour leaders who have lived in Japan as "gaijin" or who are native Japanese, these tours are packed with fun activities and adventurous minds. You will be expected to do your own thing on certain days but on the days we have planned schedules, you are required to join in. However, if you prefer to meet an old friend in Tokyo or see a different temple in Kyoto, you are more than welcome to go by yourself. Our tours offer flexibility to allow each passenger get the very most of their trip to Japan. This is why we prefer smaller groups. Our maximum group size is 16 with previous average numbers from 6 - 12 per group. Each tour begins and ends in Japan - this means you are not tied into flights and can come and go as you please!!
Behind the scenes.....
Each tour has been carefully designed by Darina & Masaki Nakagawa, a husband/wife partnership. Together, they work with local guides and assistants in Japan & Ireland. Due to the complexity of each tour, highly recognised ground handlers in Japan are also called on. Masaki, a native of Japan, is the main tour leader (buddy) while Darina is the person behind the planning of each tour, including marketing, logistics, and opertations.
Standard in all Small Group Tours are:
- Airport Meet and Greet on arrival (Day 1 of tour)
- Airport transfers (first and last day of tour)
- Full Time Tour Buddy throughout
- English speaking local guides in places
- Accommodation at 3* - 4* hotels and traditional Japanese ryokan's (Inns)
- Meals included in your itinerary
- Day tours as per itinerary including entrance fees
- Internal Transport to all destinations on itinerary

In Summary.....
Our tours give you a great understanding of Japanese culture, history and life in rural and urban Japan. Our intention is to bring you places you cannot go on your own. Of course we stop in cities and places that most tours stop at, but we also step outside the tourist trails adding adventure and mystery to your holiday. A full time representative is on hand, to assist you throughout your trip. Prices are fixed and must be paid before you go. Dates are fixed but if you are interested in planning a group tour for your friends/family/work/club, we can tailor all tours to suit your budget and time frame.
