Snow Monkeys & Zenkoji Temple Day Tour incl. a Japanese lunch at Obuse
The Snow Monkeys park is located in Hells Valley so called because of the natural volcanic activity present there. This activity then produces onsens (hot springs). In winter the valley is covered with a blanket of snow and the temperature drops as you go deeper into it. In fact is get so cold that the monekeys will sit in the hot spring water pool for long periods. The park is home to about 200 of the loveable monkeys.

Matsumoto Castle & Shinshu Winery Day Tour
Matsumoto Castle (Matsumoto-jo) is one of four castles designated as National Treasure of Japan. COnstructed began in 1592 on this elegant black and white structure with three turrets. Because of the elegant black roof, Matsumoto Castle is sometimes called "Crow Castle". Inside the castle are step stairs and low ceilings leading past displays of armor and weapons from the Sengoku period ("Warring-States") when the castle was built. The narrow wooden windows, once used by archers and gunmen, provide amazing views of the Japanese Alpes, Matsumoto city and the koi and swans circling in the moat below.
